At BMW of Peabody, we’re more than “just” your source for new BMW automobiles. Our blog is also where you can get the latest news about the BMW brand. Recently, the automaker we proudly represent announced the first-ever BMW M3 CS.

Capturing the emotionally charged character of the BMW M3 perfectly, the new BMW M3 CS is about 110 pounds lighter than the standard BMW M3. The weight loss is predominantly due to the extensive use of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic throughout the car’s construction. Large parts of the car’s body are made of this material, including the vehicle’s hood. These changes essentially lower the car’s center of gravity, which gives the vehicle even more agile handling than the standard BMW M3.

At the rear of the automobile, you’ll find a redesigned “Gurney Flap.” This aerodynamic spoiler runs along the trailing edge of the car’s trunk lid, which significantly lessens the vehicle’s rear-axle lift.

The first-ever BMW M3 CS has a unique suspension set up, which improves the car’s dynamics even more. The BMW M3 CS is outfitted with a TwinPower Turbo, six-cylinder engine. In this vehicle, the engine produces 453 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. The engine’s roar is amplified nicely by a specially tuned M sports exhaust system that has four stainless-steel tailpipes.

Only 1,200 models of the high-performance BMW M3 CS will be produced worldwide, with about 550 of them coming to the United States. Consumers can place orders for this vehicle beginning in May 2018.
