If you’ve heard the buzz, you might be wondering, “Is there a BMW dealer near me who can tell me what I can expect from the 2020 BMW M5 Edition 35 Years?” For starters, we can tell you this—if you already love the 2020 BMW M5, you’re in for a treat when the new BMW M5 Edition 35 Years hits dealerships later this year.

Since the BMW M5 was initially introduced 35 years ago, the sedan has gone through six generations. To celebrate the performance sedan’s milestone anniversary, the BMW brand will start production of the 2020 BMW M5 Edition 35 Years this month. Like its predecessors and contemporaries, this trim will be as at home on the track as it is on city streets.

The 4.4-liter V8 engine in the BMW M5 Edition 35 Years will produce 617 hp, which is 17 hp more than the engine in the top “regular” BMW M5 model. The sedan’s engine will be paired with a smooth-shifting, eight-speed automatic transmission. While the 2020 BMW M5 Edition 35 Years is outfitted with standard all-wheel drive, the vehicle will have a rear-wheel drive mode that amps up the fun whenever you want.

The new BMW M5 Edition 35 Years will only be offered in one exterior color, Frozen Dark Grey II. The sedan will boast eye-catching 20-inch wheels and cool black brake calipers. Two packages will be standard on the special edition sedan, the Executive and M Driver’s Packages. While the former includes wireless charging and massaging front seats, the latter package increases the car’s top speed and offers free admission to the M Driver’s School.
