The 2018 BMW 5 Series is offered in five trims, each of which has a different powertrain. The 530i trim and the 530e iPerformance trim are equipped with variants of a turbocharged two-liter, four-cylinder engine. The 540i trim is powered by a turbocharged three-liter, six-cylinder engine and the 540d model is outfitted with a three-liter, six-cylinder diesel engine.
The M550i trim is equipped with a turbocharged 4.4-liter, eight-cylinder engine that generates 456 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Regardless of the engine your sedan has, it will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Every BMW 5 Series trim is well-appointed. The sedan comes with adaptive LED headlights, selectable drive settings, heated mirrors, automatic wipers, a sunroof, driver memory settings, and a power-adjustable steering wheel.
